All our products are made using PLA , a plant-based, biodegradable plastic that is more eco-friendly than traditional petroleum-based plastics. We chose PLA not only for its sustainability but also for its strength, finish, and vibrant colour options.

Q: Can I customise the colour or engraving?

Yes, we offer a range of colour options, and custom engraving is available on select items (like knock boxes or wdt tools). Just choose your preferences on the product page.

Q: Do your knock boxes fit all espresso machines?

Our knock boxes generally come in two to three sizes — and if your espresso machine has a large portafilter , you may want to consider sizing up. We recommend checking the product dimensions listed on the page and measuring your space before purchasing to ensure the perfect fit for your coffee station.

Q: Are your knock boxes dishwasher safe?

Our knock boxes are not dishwasher safe . As they are 3D printed using PLA (a plant-based material), exposure to high heat and steam in dishwashers may cause warping or surface damage. We recommend hand-washing with mild soap and room-temperature water , then drying thoroughly.

Nice alternative to the standard chrome knock boxes. Good customer service when I enquired before ordering.

It’s lovely! Just the right size for a day of coffees for the two of us

It’s lovely! Just the right size for a day of coffees for the two of us, plastic is solid and feels robust, wooden bar fits well but can be slid out to clean if needed.
Only things that stop it being a 5
- the two tone colour effect in the photos doesn’t show up in real life, it’s so one colour (which is lovely) so I assume that’s just lighting - but it means it’s a bit misleading and wasn’t quite what I expected. Lovely none the less!
- wooden bar doesn’t appear to be treated at all, it immediately absorbs any wetness and marks, so I’m going to need to oil it. This could easily be done at the point of manufacture, but no great hardship to do at home

- On the two-tone effect you mentioned, it tends to show up more strongly in our metallic and galaxy series, especially under sunlight, while the matte olive green you chose has a more subtle finish.

- Each knock bar is treated with Danish oil in our studio, but your experience suggests we may need to review our process or consider using a different oil. We really appreciate you highlighting this.

A nice funky looking knock box could do with being a bit wider.

Bought this for our daughter in law after she admired ours. Ordered hers in a subdued gold colour to match her kitchen. Ours is the metallic blue one . Really unusual design and great colours.
